Embracing the Shadow Between Women, Weekend Theme #3
Often I feel like I leave the best of me on social media in places where no one reads, much less appreciates it. For me, much of what I say ‘in the moment’, is worth re-visiting. Not from the vantage point of ego but from the vantage point of believing that I am often a chanel for the Divine and don’t remember what I say, or write, until friends come back with it years later. This short copy-and-paste is one of those moments re the Shamanic Priestess of the Sacred Shield and working with women and the Shadow.
“Be a woman other women can trust. Have the courage to tell another woman directly when she has offended, hurt or disappointed you. Successful women have a loyal tribe of loyal and honest women behind them. Not haters. Not backstabbers or women who whisper behind their backs. Be a woman who lifts other women.”
This, literally, is one huge piece you should carry away from the Priestess circle if you are digging deep and being authentic.
Following is a piece which I’d like to share from social media. It’s from the Facebook page for my upcoming circle and was accompanied by the pic shown above.
“Ladies, the 3rd Initiation weekend of the SPotSS is called: Embracing the Shadow Between Women.
There is a LOT to be delved into with this work, a lot of healing, a lot of self-examination, a shit-ton of wounding and stories and things around what it means to be a woman in our world.
Every weekend we will do a ‘housekeeping’ segment (though I reserve the right to forget to name it such) in which we have a talking circle and you have the opportunity to share *anything* that is up for you, including what has come up for you around the other women in the circle. And THINGS WILL COME UP. As they do.
This is part of the work that we are doing here and it is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful pieces.
So be ready, start looking at your feelings about other women. Simply observe. You don’t have to change today! All I ask is that you bring your awareness to all of the judgments, the cattiness, the meannesses that can spring up regarding other women. Just pay attention and be with your thoughts. If you want to write them down and bring them into circle during the Shadow weekend, please do!”
